ACM's New Online Course

Just now, i received an email from ACM about their new online course, which are brought in by Element K®. Program highlights include:

The ACM E-Learning Catalog - ACM members can access the ACM E-Learning Catalog round-the-clock. It includes 2,500+ online courses on a wide range of computing and business topics, in multiple languages.

Exclusive vLab® Virtual Labs - 1,000 unique vLab® exercises place users on systems using real hardware and software allowing them to gain important job-related experience.

Reference Tools - an e-Reference Library extends technical knowledge outside of the classroom, plus online Executive Summaries and quick reference cards to answer on-the-job questions instantly.

An Offline Player – a downloadable player that allows members to access assessments and self-study courses offline, anywhere and anytime, without a live Internet connection.

I tried one of the vLabs on Security topic and some of the materials are taken from EC-Council's CEH and CHFI course big grin. The cool thing about vLabs is that it provides you with some kind of special environment where you can test or conduct series of action without having to install anything on your system, except for browser and probably flash player. It's kinda virtual environment on your desktop browser.

It's one of the neat feature by ACM.
