No Time to Relax

Even though it's Sunday and it was supposed to be used for refreshing, i don't take Sunday for that reason. Yes, i know i should get some rest, but there are some plenty days for upcoming week, so i think it would be better if i finish up my work this Sunday and that's what i did.

All materials for computer security class are finished. All i need was revise it a little bit since i already taught the same class last year. Next, i need to create questions for final exam. It took me a bit to make this questions, since i turned on my YM and my colleague had a chat with me. At the end, i finished it around 10:15 PM and it's ready to be used for the final exam which will be hold in around May.

Passed The Test

Last month i was sent by my office to took a training in Jakarta about goverment procurement procedures. I have to say that i had no confidence about it since i'm not familiar with it and it got nothing to do with my basic skills. I wonder what makes me to be sent to this training

Anyway, i went to the training with two of my colleagues for three days and took the exam on the last day. Honestly, i didn't have any target at all at the day i finished the test, because in my opinion, the questions was so ambiguous. You can have a lot of perceptions about it, so i was kinda worried that i might failed.

One month passed and today, the results was announced. I was surprised to see my names was listed on the announcements, since only those who passed the exams are listed on it. One of my colleague pass the test also, but the other one failed to pass. We have 58 passed out of 79, which i think is quite good percentage compared to other places who held the similar test.

I was so relieved to hear that i passed the test. The certification lasted for four years, so i don't have to take those test again in the next four years

Last Week

This week will be the last week of this semester and starting next week, the students will face the final exam which will be held until third week in December before they can celebrate Christmas and end of year holidays. They will come back for the next semester in mid January.

This morning, i lead a small workshop for Introduction to Internet for teachers in Bopkri Dua. It was a fun session and i enjoyed with as much as the participant. I'm looking forward for the next workshop, hopefully related with Linux and / or Open Source application

Exam Ready

This is my first time i completed making the mid test and final test questions even before the class started. Usually, i make the exams few weeks before the real test, but since i'm handling short semester, i will be busier than i used to be, so i take an early actions by creating the questions before the class started.

So far, it's been good. I only need to review it later when the exam is near. It surely reduce my workload when short semester starts in the next two weeks. By then, i can focus on preparing my materials and also having a technical meeting when the students are attending their mid test.

Three Hours Invigilator

Today i became an invigilator for Data Warehouse exam which was held at UKDW's Conference Room. The duration for the exam was 3 hours, that's the longest exam i have ever seen. Normally, in regular classes, we hold up to 2 hours maximum, but we never gave that much time, since sometimes the students may have to face up to two or three exams a day, so they need some time before entering the next exam.

Waiting for three hours was a pain, but it's my job. Everything is over now. I have given the marks and the only left to do is submitting the grades to the officials.
