This morning i went to Amplaz and when i entered Batik Keris, one of the biggest Batik store in Jogja, i saw that they were using Mandriva as the operating system for their PoS (Point of Sales) application. It's DOS-based, so i guess it uses dosemu or some other DOS-based virtualization to make the application works (my guess is probably developed using DOS version of Microsoft Visual Foxpro).
It works with the printer they used to print the receipt and the results were magnificent. Bravo for Batik Keris who has used GNU/Linux as their operating system.
