Well, i'm back here in Jakarta safely. I just heard that there was a plane accident again in Halim Perdanakusuma airport, but not a commercial plane i guess. I heard from Radio that was broadcasted while i'm in the airport bus going to Blok M to be picked up by my sister. Luckily this time there was no delay (well, actually it got delayed for 30 minutes from the original schedule, but since the airways had told me few days before, i didn't have to wait at the airport). I departed from Jogja at about 13:30 PM using Lion Air. I got seat number 35 C, which eventually didn't exist at the airship, so i got 37, the last seat in that plane, and people who actually got the 37's seat were moved into other seats. I wonder why did Lion didn't know the plane capacity. The stewardess just tried to allocate the passenger on the available seats. Well, at least i got a seat (even though it's very busy at the back, since the engine was located at both of my side, so it's fifty minutes of pain hearing the roaring engines). The plane was bumping up and down during the take off. Since i sat on the last seat, i could feel the bump very hard. But finally it could take off and about one hour later, we arrived at Soekarno Hatta Airport in Jakarta.
Next, i took an airport bus to go to Blok M, the nearest terminal to my aunt's house. There was a tourist who look like Eric S. Raymond and he was quite confused about a certain route. Luckily the driver of the bus was willing to help him out. After we arrived at the Blok M, my sister picked me up and we went to the JCC building to saw the house expo at that place.
After that, we went to Plaza Semanggi and i knew that there is a hot spot facility in this mall, so i went to Starbuck and use the hotspot to post this blog and download some package for the Slackware (it's good for testing the connection also) hehehe
All about my activities, thoughts, inspiration, ideas, and everything that happened around me

Going Back to Jakarta
Today i will leave to Jakarta again after having day off for about one week in Jogja and also registering for my master degree. Everything is already finished, and i'm relieved that everything runs smoothly as planned. Now i just have to concentrate on my work and also wait for the call from the admission next month. Well, see you in Jakarta again guys :D
As usual, i will post a journey report after i arrived in Jakarta later on.

Journey to Jogja
As usual, i always write down my journey whenever i go somewhere (mostly to Jakarta/Jogjakarta). This time is Jogja and today is the day. At 9 AM, i went to the Blok M to get into airport bus which is the cheapest public transportation if you want to go to the airport (you only need to pay 15000 IDR). The bus was going to leave when i reached there. Luckily the driver saw me and he opened the door for me so i could got into the bus and go with that bus rather than having to wait for the next bus (the bus was already ready behind the current bus, but it's still empty, so i had to wait until the bus is full then it will start leaving the terminal).
The bus didn't go straight to the terminal 1A (where i should go because i use LION AIR airways, but went to the office, because the driver had to drop some persons there. Next route was the international terminal first and then continued by local terminal. I arrived at my terminal at 10 AM, the deadline to do check-in (just imagine if i had to wait for the next bus. What time would i arrive at the airport?), so i started to check-in after my friend who traveled with me already arrived there first. I almost forgot to brought my laptop after i put them in the scanner machine (no wonder my luggage was so light. I realized it after i walked for a few steps and wondering that i might missing something. Luckily the staff put them in a safe place, so nobody could take it).
After checking-in, we went to the upper floor and waited there because the boarding time was still 30 minutes, so i bought 2 Roti Boy because i hadn't had my breakfast and i was worried that it would be a delay (and it did happened) so i decided to bought it. After the boarding time was near, we went to the second scan just before entering the waiting room. This time, i almost forgot to take my cellphones (Argghh...), so this was the second time i forgot to get my items.
At the waiting room, we waited for about 30 minutes before the official announced that we would have one hour delay (it's always like this when i flight with LION AIR. My previous flight with LION was in December and that time, we had 2 hours of delay). The rain started to drop but not too heavy, and i was worried if it will cause more delays, but unfortunately it didn't happened.
We make nice flight, except for the rough landing and also some time wasted in the air because there was a practice by the local air force so we had to take some turn in the air (about 15 minutes) before we could land in Adisucipto Airport. Well, i finally arrived in Jogja safely. It's not the best trip, but i'm safe. That's the main point :D

Back to Jogja
Same as Idban, i will also resign from my current company, but the difference is that i will have my last day by the end of next month (not this month). Another difference is that i will not move to other company. I'm going to pursuit for master degree which have been canceled once since i decided to join this company about one and half year ago. I'm planning to take my master degree at Jogja, my hometown. Why suddenly i decided to take my master degree? It's because i still have a strong motivation to learn new things and i don't know whether i will still have that kind of strong feeling in the next few years or not (hopefully i still do). Some people who have worked sometimes don't care about education anymore, because they think that they can earn money from their current job, but i'm aiming for higher target and master degree is one of the supporting factor and i also like to study and learn new things. That's the main reason.
I will miss all of my friends here in my company. They are good friends and we had a lot of good time together, even though only for about one and half year. But don't worry, as we can still keep in touch via many ways, such as emails, instant messaging, or even by phone.
I have packed most of my personal belonging and now my room is almost empty (last night was the hard work, since my uncle came to my boarding house and pick up most of my belonging and take it with them who also will leave to Jogja tommorrow by car). Most of the items left are clothes and some items which i still need at least for about one month before i completely left Jakarta.
By the way, i'm leaving to Jogja this week and having my holidays and also trying to get information about the master degree that i'm going to pursuit. I hope with the little time i got, i can get the information i need and if possible, i will register also.
I'm a person who can't live without Internet, so i guess i will use Speedy as my Internet Connection Provider when i'm in Jogja. It's great to hear that Speedy has been operating in Jogja, but i hope my area is included in their area. I have experienced using Speedy as my company used this also, so i already know where to complaint if something goes wrong. By having an Internet connection, i'm sure that most of my daily work that requires Internet connection will still continue even if i'm in Jogja (even though it might get slower at the beginning because of the setups done in Jogja).
Well, wish me luck about the trip and also for my master degree.

Journey Recap
I'm back here in Jakarta this morning and since i didn't bring my laptop during my journey to Semarang, i just want to write some details i remembered so here it goes:
18 January
I went to my sister's place at night so we could go together to the airport and help her with some luggage that she had to bring to Semarang. I usually go to my sister's place around 8 - 8.30 PM at night, but since it's thursday, so i went there around 7 PM and the street was not as crowded as in Friday (in Jakarta, people often use Friday as the end of the week, so they usually go somewhere in town. This what makes Jakarta so crowded at Friday).
19 January
Our plane was scheduled to departed at 12:30 PM, and we left at 11 AM to go to Blok M and we planned to use Airport Bus to reach the airport, but since we were quite late, the taxi driver offered a non-argo ride to the airport which costs us Rp. 70.000 (without further charges). I know it's quite expensive, but we had no choice at that time, since airport bus usually waits for passengers also before leaving to the airport, and we're chasing for our plane, so we took that offer. We arrived about 15 minutes before the plane was scheduled to depart.
After check-in, we went to the waiting room and we got an announcement that the plane was postponed for about 45 minutes. Argghh... if we knew it will be like this, we would have taken the bus rather than taxi. Ok.. so we wait for about 45 minutes, but there was no sign of the plane was going to be departed, so we waited for about 1 hour and then finally an announcement that we should wait for a plane from Surabaya (so another delay). After the plane arrived, there were still no announcement of when will the plane leave, so some people asked them and they said that the plane couldn't be used since the auto pilot was broken and the mechanics were still fixing them. Ohhh My GOD!!!! After some tough discussion and some were angry too, finally we (the passengers) asked for a plane change and they agreed with it, so we had to go to Gate 1 from Gate 5 to reach the new plane and then we left to Semarang using the new plane.
I was picked up by my cousin, Andrew in Ahmad Yani airport. Just for information, this was my first time to go to Semarang using plane. Usually i go to Semarang via JogloSemar shuttle bus or by car, since i usually go there when i was a child and my last visit to Semarang was few years back (i guess it's around 5 years). There has been a lot of changes in Semarang and i already forgotten some of the street name/areas in Semarang. I got into my uncle's house in Gombel and have some rest before a family dinner at night in Holiday restaurant.
At night, we went to Holiday restaurant to have a family feast. The event was scheduled to start at 6:30 PM, but it actually started at 7:30 PM and it ended around 9 PM. After this, we were planning to eat Nasi Pindang, but the place was not open, so we go to Gang Pinggir. It's a small china town in Semarang that were quite famous up to now. Usually it's very crowded, but since it's 9:30 PM, we had some room to walk in and have a look on the night view of Gang Pinggir. Too bad i left my digital camera at the car, so i couldn't take a picture on it.
20 January
I wake up a little bit late today because last night i was very tired. At about 11 PM, i met my girlfriend at Metro Hotel, where she stayed there with her mother. We had chats until around 2PM when i had to go back and picked up my father at Joglo Semar's head office in Gombel. Next, we went back to my uncle's house and take some rest before we went to PRPP, the place where the marriage takes place. It's located in Puri Anjasmoro and near my cousin's house who were married. It's only 5 minutes from his house.
We had some family events first at 4:30 PM and around 6 PM, i picked up my girlfriend at her hotel to go the event with me. The event was great and i liked it. The party itself ended at about 10 PM and during that party, i received good news that Liverpool beats Chelsea 2-0 and tonight, MU will face it's rival, Arsenal.
21 January
Today i had to wake up early in the morning since my plane was scheduled to leave at 8.30 AM. I woke up at about 6.30 AM and then preparing all my stuffs and left to the airport at about 7.30 AM. We arrived at the airport, checking in and the officer said that the plane was already in place and ready to go, so there was no delays again. We used Batavia Air this time and the flight was so smooth. It even flew few minutes before it was scheduled to leave, so it's earlier than in the schedule. At 9:15 AM, i already landed in Soekarno-Hatta airport and went back to my house and then start posting this blog.
One note about Ahmad Yani airport is that they have provide a free hot spot on it (too bad i didn't bring my laptop, so i couldn't use it). I just hope that Adisutjipto and Soekarno-Hatta will also provide this services in the future.

Out of Town
Starting tomorrow, i will be out of Jakarta for 3 days. I will be in Semarang for my cousin's marital party that will be held at Saturday. A night before the party, we shall have a feast to celebrate it with the rest of the relatives, including me and my sister. I will be coming back to Jakarta at Sunday and at Monday i will go back to work normally.
Luckily that my project is now finished, so i can leave it for one day and i'll come back again at Monday.
What surprises me is that my girlfriend will also be in Semarang during that day, because she has to accompany his mother in Semarang for singing contest. I wish i could see her, since i will have busy schedule in Semarang.
It's been a while since my last visit to Semarang and meet my relatives there. I think it will be a great time to meet them.
I don't think i will have Internet connection there, so perhaps no post at my blog for about 3 days and also i won't be able to read my e-mails, so please be patient if you sent me a message.
