Dissapointed with MTIX 2.0

Actually, i was really curious when 21Cinema decided to upgrade their online ticketing by adding a feature that enables us to select our own seat. This morning, i visited their website and i found the new interface which is confusing and i think 1.0 is better than the new 2.0. Bad at usability and too much pop ups and annoying ads.

I'd say forget it. It's just an interface after all. But guess what? The functionality is even worse. I can't even buy a ticket and i have to do my registration all over again before i can use the new service (they even have my old data, why should i do the registration again). When i looked at their forum, i saw that there are so many people already complaining about it and the admin said that there were a maintenance phase and trial version before upgrading to 2.0 and they didn't even notify their users at all.

I think they should be more informative to their users. In the past, i'm able to buy tickets since morning, but i think they have made the rule more strict, but no announcement on their buy tickets page.

When i called their customer service, no one answered my phone call Angry

Conclusions: i'm so dissapointed with MTIX 2.0. Just go back to 1.0 and remove the seat selection feature. It's working and everybody's happy.

Weird Complaints

Usually, people would complaints when something goes wrong or didn't work. But it may not be the condition when you talked about Slackware users (or some people would say Slackers). Some of them complaints when everything has worked out of the box, where they expected that they should have "hacked" their system to get it working laughing

Check this thread at LinuxQuestions: Complaints about Slackware 12.2. With new kernel and better device management system, most Linux distribution now works out of the box and can detect most devices (except for special devices or newer devices which has been released after the kernel has been released) automatically. But note that not everybody likes this, because there's no adventure of hacking their own machine to get the system detected the devices. That's the beauty of working on Linux big grin

Let's say you use Ubuntu because it is usable out of the box, meaning that you don't need to set up anything for general use. You *may* not like Slackware because you *may* have to set up things by yourself to get the preferences you prefered. It's just an example, and should not be taken as general rules, as there are people who loves both distribution.

Disconnect Very Often

Is it happening only on my computer or does it happened for all Speedy users? In the past, i can leave my connection up and running for more than a week without being disconnected, but since the disruption in Sumatra last week, my connection often disconnected (well, it was set to re-dial, but the download process will be stopped) and it last not longer than 3-4 hours before it gets disconnected.

I'm quite lucky that Opera supports resume operation, so i can resume from the last byte i downloaded. Nevertheless, it's still annoying angry

What's the point of having broadband access, but it's not stable?

Bad Delivery Service

Two days ago i ordered a cake at Holland Bakery. The cake was promised to be delivered at 3 PM today to my girlfriend's house and i agreed with that. I wrote the recipient and sender information correctly and i have strongly said that to the person who received my order so that it won't delivered to the wrong person.

Guess what? The cake was delivered to my house doh My address was clearly written in the sender field, and not in the recipient field (the receipt was in Indonesian). My sister who noticed this package call them on the phone and they said that they would someone to took the package and send it to the correct recipient. After more than 50 minutes without any progress, i recalled them and they said they were just leaving 15 minutes ago because they couldn't find any free drivers. OK, no problem for me. So i waited again... waiting Another 45 minutes passed without any confirmation. So i decided to deliver that package myself

I know that the route from Holland Bakery to my house is not that far and it could be reached under 10 minutes and today is not as crowded as yesterday, so it should be possible. I don't know what took them so long. They arrived at my house 5 minutes before i came back delivering the cake to my girlfriend's house.
