OOo team is researching for a new product called OOo4Kids. Basically, it's OOo which is designed for kids, age 7-12 years. Several components may be removed because kids may not need it so much and others might have to be improved. Check this wiki entry for more information about what's being worked on. Since 2 weeks, you can now download and test the 0.5 beta version!
Please go to http://download.ooo4kids.org/en/ and try it. Available for Windows, Mac OS, Linux 32 & 64bits in 5 languages at the moment: English, French, German, Spanish and Portuguese.
