KDE Announcement
KDE has released two announcement at the same time, the release of a maintenance version of KDE 4.7.4, which should be the last KDE 4.7.x branch and also KDE 4.8.0 Beta 2, which marks for another milestone towards the final release of KDE 4.8.0 next January.
Packagers should now focusing on building KDE 4.8.0, so please be patient if KDE packages in your distribution may not came as fast as they used too. Besides, it only gives translations updates and bug fixes only
