F-Secure Anti-Theft for Mobile

Yesterday, i installed F-Secure Anti-Theft for Mobil application using Nokia Ovi on my E71. I found this application interesting after reading it's description:
With F-Secure Anti-Theft for Mobile you can be sure that your personal and confidential information won ’t be misused by anyone. If you suspect your phone is missing you can remotely lock it or wipe the data so that your private text messages or pictures don’t end up in the wrong hands. You can also locate your phone or the person holding it remotely.
The application is free of charge if you only use the anti-theft feature, but if you wanted an anti-virus and firewall protection, you will have to buy the full version of mobile security which has 12-24 months period. Your bill will be charged using credit card.

Today, i tried to test this application by sending a text message using the format #LOCATE#<security_code>. This is the format that should be used to locate our phone in case it's being stolen by other people. In a few minutes, it will reply with a text message with an URL of Google Maps which spotted our mobile phone location. Very cool isn't it? Evil Grin

In case you want to lock your device remotely, use this format: #LOCK#<security_code> and if you want to wipe your data (in case you have sensitive data that you don't want other people to find out), use this format: #WIPE#<security_code>.

Here's a video on YouTube to show you how to find your stolen phone

Mid Test

Today is the last day before the students will face mid test next week. Actually there's still Monday, because the test will be conducted on Tuesday, but i will use Monday to do a full review of the materials so that they will be prepared for the exams.

It surely gives us pressures, both to the lecturers and also to the students because we have to do a daily classes and in one week we should have an exam. What's next is that we will go to continue our classes in Thursday and then by the end of next week, we should have our final test and in the next few days, a new semester will begin nailbiting

Luckily, i have prepare all the questions for the mid test and final exams. All i need is to review them and send them to be printed Big Boss

Farewell Party

Today is our last day with Mark and Andre as they are leaving back to their cities. Mark has already left to Jakarta at 7 PM tonight and Andre will go back to the states tomorrow morning. We couldn't have any farewell party together as Andre was having dinner with his family, so we could do small feast with Mark in Babarsari. We ate Nasi Uduk Pak Dimas. It was very delicious and also considered very cheap Yahoo

We shall reunite again next year where Andre, Yohan, and hopefully all of our members could go back to Jogja in the same time and we would have a reunion in Kaliurang just like in the past Dance Vuvuzela

Karaoke

Today is probably the last day i can meet Andre since the day after tomorrow he will go back to USA after spending about three weeks in Indonesia. So tonight we decided to have dinner at Papindo, one of our common places where we used to hangout in the past. We also met Danang and Mark's friends there too.

After that, we went to InulVista, a new karaoke place in Jogja around Ring Road. We took two hours package and spent a great time there singing and listening to others Music. We left the place at around 11.30 PM and after i sent my girlfriend to her house, i came back to my house and upload the photos taken at the place and upload the videos as well.

I noticed that Facebook's photo uploader now works much faster than before, but unfortunately it doesn't have any feature to manipulate the photos again after being uploaded. I miss the rotate feature that existed in the previous version where we can choose to rotate the picture prior uploading the photos. Right now, users will have to make sure the photos are ready to be published when it has been uploaded. But i like the speed of the new uploader. It's blazingly fast compared to the old one.

I don't know whether we can meet each other again for tomorrrow or not, but even if can't we can still keep in touch thanks to Skype or email. What a wonderful night today. I'm so glad i can enjoy the night with you guys and gals Yahoo

Mbah Mo

Last night, we had dinner at Mbah Mo. Andre said that it had a good taste and it does. I have experience it even though the menus are very simple, only noodles. The problem was the location. It was quite far from town, and it took us about 20-30 minutes to reach the place. It was located in Bantul. I don't think i would go there if it wasn't for Andre's suggestion that it is the best place that serves noodle in Jogja.

Unfortunately, the waiting time until the orders were served was very long. It took about 30-45 minutes until my order was served and by that time, i'm already starving since it was already 9 PM i guess.

Anyways, it's worthed to wait. It taste delicious and yummy Hungry

Monitor Repairement

This morning, i got Panic because i couldn't bring my LCD monitor up. I tried to switch to other LCD and it worked, so i guess my LCD was broken. It is still two years in age, so i guess it wasn't supposed to die so soon. Last night, it was OK when i used it. I immediately find my warranty card just to make sure it wasn't lost and finally i get it from storage room Evil Grin

I went to LG Service Center at Magelang St KM 6 near Indogrosir and waited for about 15-20 minutes and the technician said there was no errors, just a broken Electrolyte. I only have to change the spare part item costing me IDR 5700 Money. Lucky me Yahoo

Welcome back to your position Banana Rock

Another Great Day

Today is another great day with my friends. At morning, we supposed to go to Church together, but at the end, only i went to the Church, since my friends collapsed since they played an online game until 5 AM and slept until 10 AM Doh (i have thought about this but never imagined it would truly happened. So deja vu). Oh well, our weekend should go on i thought.

One hour later, we were ready to go to Kaliurang to have lunch there at Pak Parto, our usual restaurant when we go to Kaliurang. One of our friend, Joko finally decided to come along as his girlfriend's business was already finished so that they could join us back then. We ate until 1.30 PM and then we went to Andre's guest house in Kaliurang where we spent so much time there chatting, eating, and playing with Andre's horse, Manis. There were so many funny and silly things happened back then in Kaliurang, mostly when Manis was trying to play with most of us, but we were rather terrified after we saw what she (it's a female horse) has done to Cing and Andre. She even took Andre's lips and kiss himlmao One of our friend took a video of the event. I hope he will upload it to Facebook later on Evil Grin. I didn't know what are Cing's feeling when she found out about this Thinking

We left Kaliurang around 6.30 PM and went to Amplaz to have dinner there. We didn't spend so much time in Amplaz so we only took some time to go around, since it was late already and we already spent almost 10 hours today, so we decided to go home after that. After dropping Cing and her sister at their house, we went to Andre's house to have a little chat and decide what's our plan for tomorrow. Yes, we are planning to go somewhere again tomorrow Rolling

I took my girlfriend to her house and go back and write this post. After this, i have to prepare for tomorrow's material and make sure everything is under control Gym

Good Bye Argentina

Another surprise in the latest World Cup 2010 match between Germany and Argentina. Even though Argentina was considered as one of the big contender for the championsip, it was shockingly crushed by Germany 4-0 just now. Even Lionel Messi couldn't even score any goal in this tournament. It surely adds more and more great players who can't shine in this world cup.

Salute to Miroslav Klose who is aiming to be the top scorer of all world cup Worship Keep up the good work Gym

PHP 5.3.3 is Coming

PHP 5.3.2 was released back in March 2010, so it was about four months ago and right now, the current development for the next PHP 5.3.3 has come to RC2. I believe that the final version should be released at worst next month if there aren't too much problem with the current development tree.

I wonder what big changes will they introduce in the next 5.3.3 release? Thinking

Yahoo/Plurk Emoticons Updated

I have uploaded an updated version of my Yahoo/Plurk emoticons for Blogger on my shared Box.net account. Basically i only added some new hidden emoticons which were previously added to Plurk, which relates to World Cup 2010, like the famous colorful vuvuzela emoticons, goal emoticon, and also dance emoticon holding vuvuzela like this one Dance Vuvuzela

There are some hidden emoticons which are not included since the timing was not correct, since it's Christmas-related emoticons. So i will skip those and probably i will add it when Christmas is near. Below is the screenshot of the latest one on Blogspot editor (it will not work on newer editor, so please use the old one or you will miss this emoticons)

Instructions on how to use these script can be seen on my previous post which i wrote on 2009.

Upgrading E71 Firmware

Last night, after we had our party, suddenly, my memory card for my E71 wasn't recognized by the phone. My friend suggested that i had a soft reset by executing factory setting action which is already included on the phone menus. It didn't work out, so my girlfriend told me to take the memory card out and leave it for a few minutes before plug it again. It works Banana Rock Thanks to my girlfriend Girl Kiss Worship

After that, i realized that it has been some time since my last backup to my phone's content, so at night, after i came back to my house, i start up my VMWare and load Windows image since i don't have a native Windows installation on my computer. I installed the latest version of Nokia PC Suite and downloaded the latest firmware for E71 (410.21.010). Actually i have wanted to install the latest version after i saw the announcement few days ago, but i didn't have any strong reason to do that because upgrading firmware means that all of my application will be gone and i have to reconfigure everything again from scratch. That's why i avoid it, but since there's a problem with it and i have done a soft reset, i'm thinking, "Why not now?"

So i decided to do a full backup of my memory card first and then turn the phone off to remove the memory card so the process will be quite faster (my first upgrade process took so long because the memory card was still on the phone at that time). I had to wait for about 20 minutes to download the latest firmware after the upgrade process started and the upgrade process itself only took about 5-6 minutes. It's so fast actually. After that, the phone restarted and voila.... it's upgraded Yahoo

The last step is to plug the memory card back and restore the content from the backup archive. Luckily, i didn't have to install too much appliations after the restoration process and i have updated the packages i have on my phone to the latest one.

Right now, it's running the latest version of E71's firmware and hopefully no more problem again. For preventive action, i will do a full backup again this morning Goodluck

The changelog for the newest firmware can be seen on SymbianWorld

Congratulations to Andre and Cynthia

Today, one of my best friend, Andre had his engagement with his girlfriend, Cynthia, or Cing as we called her. They had their engagement party at noon, but we had our dinner and also small reunion (because not all of our members can make it today) at night. This is also my first time meeting her even though we have chatted before via YM and also Skype since they both lived in US right now.

We had our dinner together at Serayu restaurant at Quality Hotel because we wanted to find a nice place to have a chat and dinner. It was a great time back then to chat with them until we missed out the time. When i looked at my mobile phone, the time was already 10 PM, which was the closing time for the restaurant, so we decided to leave the restaurant (the waiter already waiting for us actually and the air conditioner has been turned off) lmao

We planned to go out again tomorrow night and also on Sunday. We should have a good time as we might not be able to meet again in another year i guess, since they won't be have so much free time to go back to Indonesia as they like.

Anyway, congratulations to both of Andre and Cing thumbs up

Opera 10.60 Released

When i arrived at my office today, i upgraded my old laptop that uses Ubuntu as the primary and the only operating systems since there was a huge updates yesterday. I saw that there are Opera updates and it surprises me as Opera 10.60 has been officially launched yesterday and it was already on the Opera's repository today.

I tried the new Opera (i was using Opera to write this blog post actually) and i found the UI has changed quite a lot compared to 10.11 (the previous version available for Linux). It has one main icon called Menu on the top left and it serves as the main shortcut for the rest of the sub menus inside.

I also tested the javascript feature by visiting Acid3 Test and i found the result is 100% and the transition is very smooth. Congratulations to Opera team to achieve this results. I believe others will surely follows them.

For first impression about Opera 10.60, i am willing to rate it 9/10.

Update (10:44 AM): It seems that the latest Google Chrome Beta 5.0.375.99 is slightly faster than Opera to render the Acid3 Test. Kudos to Google Chrome. I haven't tested on Safari yet as they don't have any Linux release.

Happy 9th Anniversary

Exactly nine years ago, my girlfriend accepted me as her boyfriend at Kotabaru Church after i waited for about one year (that was her requirements because she didn't want to go out with anybody at that time and she was testing whether i am a loyal person or not). I passed the test and she become my girlfriend ever since Yahoo

In this nine years, so many problems that we encountered, but we managed to solve most of it. We also knows each other better than it used to be and we are happy with our progress so far. Our family has known each other and my family has proposed to her early this year.

Tonight i had a dinner to celebrate our 9th anniversary and we were satisfied with the service at the restaurant. I'm glad to be able to present her a good environment at the restaurants. I'm happy when she smiles at me. She's so cute when she smiles and caused my heart to beat faster Heart Beat

Happy Anniversary my Heart kiss love struck big hug
