YouTube Blocked in Indonesia

Finally, YouTube has been officially blocked in Indonesia territory. I personally disagree with this decision, since YouTube contains lots of good material that can be used for many people. Some of them are inappropriate to be seen (like the famous Fitna), but the rest is good. I hope when YouTube has removed all entries about Fitna from their servers, it will be unlocked again by the Indonesian Governments.

Youtube can be the first. It is not about 'Fitna' anymore. It is a precedent that something worse can happen tomorrow.

from myblog:
“The blocking of Youtube is a sign which show in the future, by using a ‘hot button’ issue, our government can pretending be populist governement while keeping our people dumb. It is not about whether you are agree or not to the blocking of Youtube. It is about how easy to block facilitation of gathering, speaking out opinion, just by using the current issue.”

this is so sad... orde baru baru?
where is freedom of word?
why a ministery should stand up as judge of good and bad movies?
if they really want to 'clean up', they should start banning bad 'reality shows', cheap 'criminal reportage' shows and poorly written sinetron!

Well, it's already been unblocked again since yesterday and the government has apologize for that action.
