Here's the description of the game (From BigFishGame):
Rumors surrounding the history of stately Ravenhearst Manor have circulated for decades. The recently acquired diary of Emma Ravenhearst may hold the key to unraveling the tale behind this unsettling place, yet the pages are missing. Players assume the role of Master Detective to unlock secrets held within Ravenhearst, scouring 32 rooms in the manor for cleverly hidden clues. Locating and assembling diary pages helps tell the story of the house and, ultimately, unlock the mystery.
This game is bigger then the other release (perhaps with more better and detailed graphics), but if you are truly a fans of this kind of game, you should try this game. It will make you addicted to it and keep playing it until you finish the game.
Here's the screenshot of the game (quite small):
If U've tried Expedition Titanic,MCF PrimeSuspect etc... It's all same thing only wrapped in new shiny paper sold again and again. Are people really that dumb ?
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion Hidden Expidition blows compared to the MCF Prime Suspects games. I own both H.E. and one MCF game and have played MCF Ravenhearst. Yes they have the same theme going on but the MCF games rock....
ReplyDeleteAnyone that judges one of these games ahead of the other needs to get a life. I only have so much time to spend doing this kind of stuff (am computer programmer myself) that I enjoy a little down time regardless of how complicated it is. I cannot wait for any game like this to be released to give me a little "release".
ReplyDeleteWe've added a short review of ravenhearst at our blog.
ReplyDeleteHelp required for Ravenhearst. I get to the end of the game, find seven keys as instructed plus another three, but can't get to the cellar. Am i missing something or am I doing something wrong. Beginning to think I've got a bug in the game
ReplyDeleteNo, it's not a bug. I experienced it also. You will have to find keys that do not close the cellar. Find the similar keys and DO NOT get keys from the same level as the cellar (basement). There are also several room that gives keys that will locked the cellar.
ReplyDeleteAfter finding the keys, look in the main screen and look for basement. If you got it closed, then the key you just get is the fake one. Next time, don't take keys from that room again.
Seeing as the game doesn't tell you that you can't pick keys from the basement level, that would make it a bug. So now I have eight keys and am screwed, so I have to start over. Fuck that. This game fails for having a bug on the FINAL LEVEL!
ReplyDeletei know your feeling. I had that experienced that also that i have to restart again several times before i can get through the final puzzle
ReplyDeleteWhen you have found the keys that correspond to the shapes on the door, place each key on the main screen - one at a time. When you release the key, a letter will appear on the screen. Click the red button next to the corresponding shape and then use the "dial" at the bottom to select that letter. When you have done all seven keys, it will spell out a word the door will open. Voila!
ReplyDeleteYou can keep picking up keys after you've reached the required number if you don't have the correct keys.
ReplyDeleteMatt: but you won't be able to get to the last place if you get the wrong key, since the access will be blocked and the collar menu will be disappeared.
ReplyDeleteInfinita: try look in bigfishgames.com. I'm sure you'll find plenty of those kind of games there
We've finally opened the cellar and solved the mystery! Tip: Be careful when picking the keys, because keys found in some rooms may be fake. We found our seven skeleton keys at the garden, study room, master's bedroom, music room, backyard, library and front porch. You will know when you got a fake key when after picking out a key, the basement tab in the map turns off.
ReplyDeleteHi all,
ReplyDeleteCould anyone recommend me somw games which are similar to "MCF Ravenhearst" especially the "unlook the door" puzzle. Thanks a million
There's a lot of games like that in BigFishGames.com
ReplyDeleteCheck it out
Any specific game that has the "unlock the door" puzzle type? thanks again
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if there are other game that has unlock the door type, but if you are interested in puzzle, i suggest you try Azada or Safecracker from BigFishGames. It's two games that are most complicated compared to the others
ReplyDeleteOk,thanks a lot,I will try out
ReplyDeleteI have tried and tried and cannot get to the cellar. Ive let the time run out to re-get the keys, but the basement is grayed out before I even start. So there are no "fake" keys that lock the basement. I have 0 keys and it's gray. I have no clue what else to try. I can only assume it is a bug resulting from something I might have done way back in the game somewhere along the way.
ReplyDeleteYou should look on the key type. There are several key type on the game and you must choose not to find the incorrect keys in order not to be locked up before you go to the cellar.
ReplyDeleteLook for the upper left key icon. They will guide you what key should you get in each room
Javamamma,
ReplyDeleteI have managed to get all keys to unlock the door, pls tell me wheather u have got all keys or not? I am sure I can get you thru this.
When you come to the last stage of Ravenhearst it asks you to collect 7 skeleton keys and go to the cellar. When you click on the MAP you will see that all the tabs are highlighted. Now you will have to go step by step to finish the game.
ReplyDeleteStep 1: Click on Towers - Find a key in one of the rooms and come back to MAP
Step 2: Click on 3rd Floor and do the same as step 1
Step 3: 2nd Floor - Find 2 keys in any 2 rooms
Step 4: 1st Floor - Find 2 keys in any 2 rooms
Step 5: Ground Floor - Find 1 key in the room
Note: The whole idea is to find 7 keys from Towers to Ground Floor making sure that the basement tab is highlighted. Do not find keys from all the rooms of each floor. Else the basement tab will not be highlighted
I am having trouble unlocking the library, the room with all the clocks. I get tham all set correctly, then can't get past the next step. The hint shows a hand the number 5. Does the lighter have to do anything? PLEASE HELP!
ReplyDeleteI've found all seven keys, plus 3 more, there are two rooms WITH NO KEYS left on the first floor, and the basement tab along with all other tabs other than the first floor tab. Is there a way to get rid of the keys i don't need or is there a place i have to go? I've gotten all the way through this game before, doing the same thing i am now, but I can't get past this time. HELP ME!
ReplyDeletelook for previous comments. I think others has explained how to solve this last case
ReplyDeleteHello. I'm Playing MCF: Return to Ravenhearst right now. I'm at the school door and can't seem to open it. I have placed the correct pattern based on what is shown on the stove for 450 degrees, but it's still not opening. I kept on pushing the buttons to no avail :(
