No Premiership on Local TV

It has been confirmed that Premiership will only be broadcasted by Astro, not TV7 nor Lativi. It's the first time that people will have to subscribe to commercial TV cable just to watch soccer match, especially English premiership league. I myself don't subscribe to Astro and it was very pity that no local TV station dare to buy the license to broadcast it, even though they could gain a lot from that (EPL is one of the highest rating TV program, so the rate for advertising will be very high).

Well, probably people will subscribe to Astro, but i doubt that it will be as much as expected. I hope there's another solution about this (probably looking for videos in YouTube or at Football's site?). We will see it when the EPL officially started next week.

  1. Duuh, kacian deh, malam minggu dan minggu malam jadi sepi.
    Nonton Serie A aja :D.
Tapi ini bisa jadi preseden buruk, kelak semua siaran langsung sepakbola di Indonesia pake pay per view, gawat :(

Should there be a Salary Cap in Soccer?
Personally I think there should be! It’s just getting to be stupid money in soccer at the top of the premiership!
It’s always the same teams at the top proving that soccer success is based purely on money which ruins the idea of it being a sport! They’ve done it in rugby, basketball, hockey and American football and it makes the sports more competitive and better to watch!
I do a little Soccer Spread Betting from time to time and most matches don’t hold much surprise who is going to win, its boring! I want to see a team at the bottom pulling off an amazing season beating last seasons winners in a close fought battle!
Make things fair! It shouldn’t be about money!
